"Climate Change - Our Response" exhibition for the 10th anniversary of science in the Public Service campaign launched today
The "Climate Change - Our Response" exhibition for the Science in the Public Service (SIPS) campaign was launched today (June 2). The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam; the Secretary for Education, Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim; the Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam-sing; the Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Godfrey Leung; and the Director of Hong Kong Observatory, Mr Shun Chi-ming, officiated at the launching ceremony. Representatives from various government departments and collaborating organisations were also invited to participate in the ceremony.
On December 15, 2015, three days after the conclusion of the Paris climate conference (COP21), the Asia Society Hong Kong Center hosted a COP21 debrief co-presented by the Consulate general of France in Hong Kong & Macau, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, RECAP Hong Kong, the Hong Kong-America Center and Asia Society Hong Kong.
The Asia Society Hong Kong Center and the Scientific Department of the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau co-presented the movie “Ice and the Sky” with the support of the Fondation BNP Paribas.
The Environmental Protection Department of Hong Kong together with the Transport and Housing Bureau, the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, the Food and Health Bureau, and the Security Bureau, have published on 6th November the “Hong Kong Climate Change Report 2015”.
