In the framework of the "Serie Serie" programme presented by Le French May, and dedicated to French TV shows, discover on Monday, June 15th at Azure Restaurant slash Bar the first three episodes of TV drama The Line (A French Village) .
During the Second World War, a small town in France is under occupation. The community has to live in a world where patterns are disrupted, a world of fear and danger. The Occupation will last several years, during which share the fate of these characters, their secrets and their ability to live most difficult situations. The series evolves as we move into the heart of WW2. Each Season is a year, so as the war gets more intense, the drama gets more epic.
Episode 1, 2, 3
1st June 1940: With the arrival of the German Army, Villeneuve, a small village is faced with a totally new order. Hortense, Jean, Raymond, Marie, had been living an ordinary life, but from then on everything changes: some will become patriots, others traitors, others collaborators, and others will join the resistance. The villagers rebel against the new rules imposed by the German occupation. There is an atmosphere of secrecy, with people going undercover and risking their lives. Fear, hunger, fighting. Where is the limit between right and wrong? People are tearing one other apart, either due to their differences in values, or simply because of love.
