Award ceremony of the drawing competition, on the topic of "Pollution of ocean in Hong Kong" with sudents of FIS (June, 24, 2015) [fr]

On Monday, May 18, the students of the French International School (FIS) had been invited to visit the exhibition "CLIMATE CHANGE: Conversation between Nicolas Vial and young Hong Kong artists", organized as part of Le French May 2015 event at the Hong Kong Art Center.

This guided tour by Mrs. Virginie Morin-Brucker and illustrator Nicolas Vial was an opportunity to discuss the career of the artist, his views on global warming and many other topics related to work as an illustrator .

Following this meeting, a drawing contest on the theme of marine pollution in Hong Kong, organized in collaboration with the artist and the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, was launched with the FIS.

The children of CM1 and CM2 were likely to participate and it was difficult for Nicolas Vial to select the winning design.

Among all the beautiful drawings, those of Enosh KURZ (1st Prize), Lina MAGHREBI (2nd), Elizabeth LE LESLÉ (3rd) were awarded.

An award ceremony was held on June 24, 2015 on the site of the Hung Hom French International School of Hong Kong (FIS). This event was an opportunity to congratulate all the students for their participation and the creation of all these beautiful drawings, and viewing for the first time the film entitled "Nicolas Vial in Hong Kong," made in May 2015 by The HK Fixer for the scientific service of the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau.

Mrs. Anne Denis-Blanchardon, Consul for Culture, Education & Science, Mr Adam Pascal, Director of elementary schools of FIS, Mrs. Isabelle Saves, Attachée for scientific and academic affairs, and Mrs. Virginie Morin-Brucker, agent of Nicolas Vial, had the honor of awarding the winners, a copy of the book "Une lecture du monde" (A reading of the world) of Nicolas Vial, autographed by the artist, as well as tickets for the Ocean Park offered by the Ocean Park Conservation Hong Kong Foundation.

Note that the Scientific Service of the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau will organize this autumn in cooperation with Mrs. Virginie Morin Brucker and The Friends of the Art Museum of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, other events around the exhibition of works by Nicolas Vial and Hong Kong artists and short film.
