[Business France] French Retail Tech champions showcase in Hong Kong and Shanghai

French innovation has been championed last week in Hong Kong and Shanghai, as seven of France’s most exciting retail technology companies pitched to the private sector, government and investors of the region; six of them were exhibited on the salon Retail Asia Expo in Hong Kong, to win contracts and investment in the rapidly developing ‘E-Retailing’ sector.

The Retail Tech China Trade Mission, organized by French Trade Commission – Business France in China, visited Hong Kong and Shanghai from 13 – 17 June 2016 to showcase French’s latest technologies and innovative solutions developed for retail industry. As part of the mission, the seven companies met with potential clients (retailors and shopping mall operators), investors and also, network with local firms and professional retail technology association of the region. Six of them (Ecritel, Evolutive Group, Geoconcept, Generix, Storeverand Viseo) were exhibited on the salon Retail Asia Expo in Hong Kong, Asia’s flagship retail industry event, which had opened its door to welcome over 9,000 retailers across the region experiencing the future of retail empowered by technological innovations and advancements. Moreover, Storever, Generix and Geoconcept have introduced their solutions and discussed about in store design, web-to-store and geodata in China at the Omni-channel Retailing Conference on 14 June.


Following the French Tech communities established in Hong Kong and Shanghai, the captioned trade mission aims to boost and accelerate export opportunities in the region, which is at the international forefront of e-commerce and mobile marketing industry.

Apart from the six French delegate companies, there are several other French enterprises and entrepreneurs were presented at the event as well, adding a total number of more than 15 French companies’ presence this year, for example, Lengow, who had participated an acceleration program (i-ftt.com) led by Business France last year witha delegation of 12 startups and innovative SME to access the Chinese market; Popmap, a Hong Kong based startup founded by a French entrepreneur and member of French Tech Hong Kong, had pitched at the seminar sessions; and Ubudu Asia, who were previously exhibited with Business France in the edition 2015…etc,
