Distinguished Lectures by Professor Philippe Sansonetti at the « City University of Hong Kong » (28/10/2015) [fr]
The lecture was a part of the « France-Hong Kong Distinguished Lectures » series carried out by high-profile professors and is hosted by « City University of Hong Kong » (City U under the auspices of the Consulate general of France in Hong Kong and Macau,l’Académie des Sciences de l’Institut de France, le Collège de France and le chapitre de la Légion d’Honneur de Hong Kong.
Professor Philippe Sansonetti is Professor at the Institut Pasteur, Professor at the College de France, Member of the French Academy of Sciences gave a lecture in Hong Kong on the October 28, 2015.
Mrs. Lilas Bernheim, Deputy Consul general of France, opened the conference with an introductory speech presenting Prof. Philippe Sansonetti and his major achievements in the field of research in microbes.
In his presentation entitled "Pathogenic and Symbiotic Microbes at Mucosal Surface: The Yin and Yang of Hygiene", Prof. Sansonetti began with a brief chronological recall on the history and technological developments related to microbiology.
This lecture was the second of the 2015’s series of France-Hong Kong Distinguished Lectures all given at CityU by high profile speakers. The partners of all these events include the Consulate general of France in Hong Kong and Macau and l’Académie des Sciences de l’Institut de France.
