“French Week” at Diocesan Boys’ School Primary Division [fr]
Diocesan Boys’ School organized a French Week from the 18th to the 22nd May, whereby students held a French bake sale and were introduced to the French language and culture through a number of games activities.
The French department of the Primary section of one of the most prestigious local schools, the Diocesan Boys’ School, held a "French Week" from the 18th to the 22nd May. Mrs. A Morley and her students of the school’s French Stream organized a bake sale of French pastries each day during morning recess and thus raised 10 000 HKD for the Nepal Earthquake victims.
After lunch, the "French Boys" were delighted to lead games aiming to introduce their schoolmates to French words. The organisation of a grand lottery allowed students to win tickets to the "Ballades Enfantines" spectacle thanks to the support of the French Consulate and the French May Association. Students were also able to win seats to an introductory French lesson thanks to the implication and cooperation of the Alliance Française of Hong Kong.
This week was met with great success and was made possible thanks to the support of the French Stream students, students’ parents and the primary school’s board.
