An unique opportunity to savor France

In each participating restaurant, this event, which will take the form of a dinner, will pay tribute to the excellence of French cuisine, its capacity for innovation, and the values that it represents: sharing, pleasure, and a respect for good food, good company, and the environment.

In 1912, Auguste Escoffier started Les Dîners d’Épicure (Epicurean Diners): one day, one menu, served in cities around the world, to as many guests as possible. Goût de/Good France aims to bring this idea to life by assembling all kinds of restaurants across the globe. This international event, which first took place on March 19, 2015, aims to spread French cuisine around the world following its inscription to UNESCO’s list of "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity."

In addition to the 2,000 participating restaurants, our embassies will also be fully involved in organizing the event, and will be holding their own dinners, hosted by the ambassadors on 21 March. In Hong Kong, Michelin-starred chef Sébastien Sanjou from Le Relais des Moines will serve a menu of his signature dishes at the Residence of France with the support of our partners:
