On Monday November 7, Mr Paul-Clerc Renaud, member of the Légion d’Honneur Club (Hong Kong Chapter) and Mr Frédéric Bretar, Attaché for Scientific & Academic Affairs presented the two scholarships to recipients of the University of Hong Kong: “Prize of the Consulate General of France 2016” offered by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau and University Centre of French Studies (CUEF) of Université de Grenoble; and “Summer French Language Course Scholarships 2016” offered by the consulate and Légion d’Honneur Club, Hong Kong Chapter.
This year in 2016, there are fifteen students of the University of Hong Kong have been awarded the scholarships. These scholarships aim at providing funding for students to take French language and cultural immersion program for students from Hong Kong and Macau. With the goal of broadening the base of students studying and mastering French language and building relationships between the people in Hong Kong, Macau and France, this provides opportunities to students from around town at every level of language learning.
Students at HKU have once again proven their linguistic abilities via their outstanding results for their summer French courses at the universities in France.
