On november 25th the inauguration ceremony to introduce the new cabinet members of the French Society in Hong Kong University took place. Ms Anne Denis-Blanchardon, Consul (culture, education and science) in the General Consulate of France in Hong Kong and Macao, M Denis Meyer, Head of the French Programme in Hong Kong University, Ms Servane Gandais, Attachée for educational and linguistic affairs in the General Consulate of France in Hong Kong and Macao, and the entire team of French teachers of the Department of Modern Languages in Hong Kong University attended the ceremony and witnessed the official handover of the society seal to the new President of the Society : Ms Yvette Lo Yin.

The French Society in Hong Kong University aims at promoting French language and culture in the University, providing a better understanding in the French-speaking countries, representing the interests of French students at the university and providing welfare to the members of the Society.

During her introduction speech, Ms Anne Denis-Blanchardon officialized the organisation of the "French cinema week", early 2015 in Hong Kong University, as a genuine cooperation project between the French Society and the General Consulate of France in Hong Kong and Macao.
