Information session of Summer French language course scholarships from the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau at the University of Macau [fr] [中文]

With the objective to inform students of the Summer French language course scholarships, this information session was held on 21st April 2016. It was conducted by Ms Servane Gandais, Attaché for Educational and Linguistics Affairs, and supported by Professeur Kevin Thompson, Director of « Moon Chun Memorial College » at University of Macao (UMac) and Ms Annie Chan, Director of Global Affairs Office at University of Macau.



These scholarships, jointly offered by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau and the “Legion d’Honneur Club” Hong Kong Chapter, are for students studying French at the 9 universities in Hong Kong and Macau, who are eager to improve their French language ability by following a month-long intensive summer French language course between June and September 2016.

More than 50 students from all faculties at University of Macau attended this information session. They have learned about this exciting and unique scholarship through dynamic yet informative exchanges with Ms Gandais. Students expressed their interests in French culture while some shared their travelling experience in France.

Two French exchange students at the University of Macau, Nathan and Thomas, joined this information session as well, and shared their perception of cultural difference between France and Macao.
