Le French GourMay – Come and discover the ‘tasty’ proof of the art living!

JPEGTo celebrate the launch of the second edition of the French Gourmay, a press conference was held on April 22, 2010 at the Press Room. The French Consul General Marc Fonbaustier, introduced the program of this year.

This year, as in the previous edition, the French GourMay (April 22 to May 22, 2010) presents the products of a partner region, this year, Languedoc has been chosen.

The promotional activities of Le French GourMay in 2010 will appear in different forms:

The “Saveurs” menu in 7 prestigious restaurants

During the period of le French GourMay, seven renowned restaurants Amber, Pierre, Caprice, Petrus, L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon, Spoon and The French Window join the festival to create a one-of-a-kind gastronomic feast titled “Saveurs”.

From 22 April to 22 May 2010, these restaurants offer a mouth-watering four-courses menu based on the four different flavours. To further compliment this unique culinary experience, the menus are specifically paired with wines from Languedoc, in the South of France.

Besides the 7 restaurants mentioned above, more than 20 other restaurants/bars will also participate in le French GourMay.

Promotion in shops

It is exciting to know that more than 300 retail stores throughout Hong Kong will offer a special Languedoc wines promotion throughout the month of May. They include 275 Wellcome stores, 3 CitySuper stores, 57 stores of Park n Shop, also Mr. Chatté, Hanlun Fine Wine Shop and Voici wines.

During the period of French GourMay, there will also be lectures on the benefits of tea, wine and chocolate.
