Poitiers Film Festival - Hong Kong delegation (Nov 28 - Dec 7, 2014) [fr]

The 37th edition of Poitiers Film Festival, the international film schools’ festival, was held from November 28 to December 7, 2014 and has promoted the Chinese-language cinema with a special focus on Hong Kong.

Hong Kong was represented by two institutions: Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). Both have presented three short-films in presence of four young filmmakers and their professors : Mr Shu Kei, Chair of the School of Film and Television and Mr Ding Yuin Shan, Senior Lecturer for HKAPA and Mr Man Shu-sum, Associate Director of the Academy of Film for HKBU.

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Affairs Office in Brussels brought its support to this event and organized a reception in honours of the HK delegation.

Mr. Jian Boyang and Ms. Norris Yee Lam Wong from the Academy of Film (HKBU).

Mr. Lam Chi Lung and Mr. Ren Xia from the School of Film and Television (HKAPA).

The festival gathered 20 000 spectators (+10% compared to 2013). The international film schools competition has selected 52 films from 23 nationalities.
