Seminar on “Acquisition or learning of grammar?” conducted by Professeur Dr. Claude Germain [fr]
Organized by The Association of French Teachers in Hong Kong and Macao (AFLE) and supported by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, a seminar “Acquisition or learning of grammar?” will be held on October 4. Dr. Claude Germain, professor of the Department of Language Didactics at the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Université de Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and also visiting professor at the Department of French at South China Normal University (SCNU), will be the speaker of this seminar.
During this seminar, Dr Claude Germain will speak of language acquisition and how learners learn languages. All AFLE members are welcomed.

Claude Germain received a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Ottawa (1989) and a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Aix-Marseille (1970). He is currently Full professor in the Department of Linguistics and Second Language Teaching at UQAM (University of Quebec at Montreal ), and is an internationally acknowledged authority on the teaching and learning of second languages. He is also Visiting Professor at the Department of French at South China Normal University (SCNU).
He is well-known for his research and numerous publications in second language teaching, Neurolinguistic Approach (NLA) and the “Intensive French in Canada”.
