On 20th October 2016, the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau organized an award ceremony to honor the selected students from Hong Kong and Macau. In the presence of Sir David Li, the President of the Légion d’Honneur Club Hong Kong Chapter and Mr Eric Berti, Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, all students and professors from universities gathered to celebrate their achievements.
Jointly run by the Consulate General of France and the “Legion d’Honneur Club” Hong Kong Chapter, Summer French language course scholarships are offered on a yearly basis to students in order to subsidize for their 4-week-long French language immersion course in France.
Taking place at the French Residence, this award ceremony was a chance for students and French teachers from various higher institutions in Hong Kong and Macau to get together, including the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Community College of City University and University of Macau.
Consul General of Hong Kong Mr Eric Berti expressed his heartfelt welcome to all guests and especially congratulated students on their success in French language learning. In addition, Mr Berti encouraged all students to become members of the France Alumni platform, and continue to participate in all French cultural events in town.
Sir David Li congratulated all scholarship recipients on their efforts, while emphasizing on the promising chances that French language ability can bring.

After the certificate presentations, students had the opportunity to share with each other their joy and stories that they had during their summer immersion course in France, while enjoying the reception offered by the Residence.
