Thomas, Mayer & Associates is a French law firm established in Hong Kong since 1996. They are sponsoring the Concours Oratoire Interuniversitaire du Delta de la Rivière des Perles since its creation in 2009. And in 2011, they consolidate their support to the French speaking community in Hong Kong by launching a new Un semestre en France scholarship entitled "TMA Scholarship in French & Law" for LLB students registered in universities in Hong Kong and Macao.

The TMA Scholarship in French & Law is divided into three stages:
a) an eight-week intensive courses in French as a Foreign Language at Cavilam in Vichy in July and August,
Accommodation in a host family + half-board
Intensive French Program to help the awardees to upgrade their French level from the B1 level (required for application) to B2 (entry level in French university).
b) A semester in the 3rd year Bachelor from September to December taught in French in a university partner in France.
c) At the end of the graduation, an internship of 3 to 6 months in Thomas, Mayer & Associates
The scholarship covers:
Round-Trip ticket Hong Kong-Paris
Train tickets from Paris to Vichy (during FLE) and the city of the partner university
An intensive course of French as a Foreign Language) in July and August at Cavilam in Vichy for eight weeks, with accommodation and half board
A monthly allowance of € 150 in July and August (in addition to accommodation on half board) and € 900 from September to December
Medical Insurance and repatriation insurance
Applicants must:
Major in law degree, ideally in the third year, in a university in Hong Kong or Macao
French knowledge at B1 level or equivalent

September-December 2012 one semester of law in the French partner university
After graduation, 3 to 6 month internship in Thomas, Mayer & Associates
