The scientific team of the Consulate general of France in Hong Kong and Macao is delighted to announce that the “Science Rendez-Vous” series will resume in September 2016 in a new venue: the Kee Club.
Basically the concept remains the same. Dedicated to a large audience with the paramount goal of popularizing science, these “Science Rendez-Vous” stand as scientific presentations given by renowned French or Hongkongese researchers, followed by exchanges with the audience. They will take place recurrently once a month.
Topics covered are widely diversified. They will be related to the latest scientific news, major findings by French or Hongkongese research teams or the results of French-Hongkongese scientific cooperation.
The talks will be given in English in the following format: a 40-minutes presentation presentation followed by a Q&A session fostering interaction between the speaker and the audience.
The "Sciences Rendez-Vous" will be graciously hosted by the "Kee Club" group which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. By partnering with the “Kee Club” (32 Wellington Street, Central), the scientific team of the Consulate hopes to encourage the public to take ownership of scientific issues and arouse its curiosity through exchanges with the invited scientists in a convivial atmosphere.
