The children’s literature writer Emmanuelle Houdart in Hong Kong [fr]
Emmanuelle Houdart, artist, illustrator and author for children’s book, was in Hong Kong between 10 and 16 December.
Emmanuelle Houdart is painter and illustrator since 1996. Apart from the collaborations with different magazines and daily newspaper ((Libération, Le Monde, Sciences et Vie Junior, Ça m’intéresse…), she created around twenty albums for the young with different publishers. She also published five more peronnal works with highlight of text and images.
With her lively and strong palette of felt pens, she developed a very personal style. She deployed a phantasmagorical and atypical universe which is between dream and reality. Strangeness borders on poetry.
Emmanuelle Houdart went to the French International School to meet pupils on Monday, December 14 and presented her works to the publich at the bookshop “Parenthèses” on December 16.
The original plate of the album “Ma mère” by Emmanuelle Houdart are exhibited at the gallery Charbon until 6 January 2016.
