There are already 22 students who received their diploma from the Faculté Ouverte de Paris (FOP, Open Faculty of Paris), the first French establishment which is 100% online, 1 year after its creation.
La Factulté Ouverte de Paris, established since September 2014, provides courses that are taught 100% online, delivering national Bachelor and Master degrees.
These programs are open to everyone who could not have an easy access to the university campus, for instance those who are resuming their study or did a late enrolment.
From the digital campus of FOP, students with different profile could prepare their examinations at their own pace, while benefiting from a personalized follow-up of an assigned professor. 2 programs were proposed during the academic year 2014/15 – L3 in Economic and Social Administration and Master in Public Law in social, sanitary and medico-social aspects - in partnership with University of Pau and University of Pays de l’Adour. 48 students were initially enrolled in Master and 12 in Bachelor. As indicated by FOP, the passing rate of those who were present at the exam in Paris was actually “comparable” to the traditional programs.
For the coming year, FOP is hoping to open 3 more programs – 1 bachelor in Economic and social administration, a professional bachelor in insurance and a preparatory course for Nursing school.
