On 26th March 2009, Mr. P. Prashanth (Head, CampusFrance) conducted a pre-departure briefing session for Chinese University exchange programme students. He talked about France, its culture, its education system, cost of living and visa procedures.
During this presentation participants discovered the new website of CampusFrance Hong Kong - www.hongkong.campusfrance.org - which contains a complete picture of Higher Education in France, Visa procedures, Why choose France, Housing in France etc…
A vivid explanation of French Culture, France Today, French Higher Education System, Cost of studies & living, visa procedures, was given by Mr. P. Prashanth who also introduced the special headings ("Programmes taught in English", "MBA in France", "Study in French France", "Erasmus Mundus Double degree programmes & scholarships") to the participants.
During Q/A session, students showed their interest on tourism and daily life in France.
Ms. LAM Wing Man Veronica, a CUHK student who went to France on exchange basis last year to Université Catholique de Lille shared her experiences in France as an exchange student. She pointed out the difficulties the students would face in France due to the cultural differences and she also gave interesting tips to students.
