European Academy of Music (June-July 2015) - Call for applications
Organised within the framework of "Aix-en-Provence Music & Opera Festival" since 1998, the European Academy of Music is a centre of excellence for vocal and instrumental training as well as a platform for reflecting and experimenting in the domain of opera creation. It also offers young professionals the opportunity to perform in concerts and operas during the Festival period (June-July 2015) as well as on tours across France and abroad throughout the year.

The training program of the Académie européenne de musique follows different lines:
VOICE - The Académie allows lyric artists to study a given repertoire (Mozartian and Lied, contemporary vocality, etc...) working on style, technique and interpretation during master classes and encounters with renowned specialists.
Mozart Residency - For singers and pianists
Handel Residency - For singers and harpsichordists
Voice and Creation Residency - For singers, pianists and composers

CHAMBER MUSIC - The Académie welcomes trios and quartets already constituted. These ensembles benefit from the experience and guidance of uncontested masters over the course of various workshops and master classes.

CREATION - Bringing together young composers, librettists, dramaturges, stage directors, scenic designers, costume designers, and choreographers among other creators, the Opera Creation Workshop makes it possible for them all to tackle and work on different themes having to do with today’s lyric creation thanks to their participation in encounters, conferences and debates.

ORCHESTRA AND ENSEMBLES - Associated since 2010 with the Youth Orchestra of the Mediterranean, the Académie offers training in the profession of orchestral musician. The Festival d’Aix-en-Provence invites instrumentalists in the final stage of their training to a great symphonic concert scheduled for the closure of the Festival. Several renowned musicians contribute to the preparation of this concert which is to be conducted by a world famous conductor.
