The French International School (FIS) is the oldest international school in Hong Kong founded in 1963. It welcomes more than 2,600 students from reception to secondary school.

FIS offers two curricula: French and International. The French Section is linked by convention to the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), which follows the programmes directed by the French Ministry of Education leading to the “diplôme national du brevet” and the French “baccalauréat”. The Option Internationale du Baccalaureat (OIB) advanced-level study in English is as well available. The International Section follows a curriculum broadly based on the UK curriculum with an international focus leading to IGCSE (University of Cambridge International Examinations) examinations in Form 5, and the International Baccalaureate (IBO Geneva) Diploma programme in Form 6.

FIS has a strong academic emphasis with highly qualified expatriate staff. It pays particular attention to language training: French, English, Mandarin, German, Latin and Spanish. FIS graduates are admitted to top universities worldwide.
