Predeparture session June 2016 [fr]

A pre-departure session was organized on 16 June in order to prepare students departing to France the coming semester. In order to facilitate the settling down of the students in Hong Kong and Macao who are heading to France soon, the Consulate General of France organizes twice a year a pre-departure session.

More than 100 students joined the summer edition 2016 on 16 June at Polytechnic University where they prepared themselves for their departure.

The event started with a general presentation on France as well as its higher education system by Ms. Lavender Cheung, Head of Campus France in Hong Kong. Ms. Gwennoline Schwartz, Visa Officer, then continued with a recall of the visa application procedures. Thanks to the presentation of Ms Yolanda Chan, representative of Atout France, and Mr. Michael Li, Sales Director of Global Trading, the students were then exposed to the French landscape and tourism sites. Last but not least, Mr. Denis Brouard, Shatin Centre Coordinator of Alliance Française in Hong Kong, taught the participating students survival French phrases in a fun way, followed by a presentation on the possibilities of learning
